Yes, Nashville is certainly synonymous with country music. But a close second is its reputation for being a drinking town. While it’s easy to find Jack Daniels at every liquor-serving establishment in town, there are some spots that have especially impressive collections of whiskeys, whether it be bourbon, Scotch, rye, or single malt.

So here's a handy guide to the Nashville restaurants and bars with the biggest selections. The criteria? All the places on the list must have over 60 different bottles.

Located adjacent to the Capitol Grille inside The Hermitage Hotel, the Oak Bar has long been a go-to for locals and visitors looking for a whiskey fix. With its 130-bottle bourbon library, the Oak Bar’s collection is easily one of the the largest in town, guaranteeing that pretty much anyone can find something to please their palate.

At the Nashville-outpost of Michael Mina’s meaty empire, the name pretty much says it all. There’s a robust selection of brown liquor behind the bar here, with over 60 bottles lining the shelves. That includes bourbon, natch, but also, single malts, rye, Scotch and Japanese whiskies. The co*cktail menu also caters to bar patrons’ imbibing mood, with the left side doling out traditional, by-the-book tipples, while the right puts a provocative twist on the drink — but only if you’re feeling rebellious.

Shane Nasby, pitmaster at HoneyFire, is a huge whiskey lover. So it only makes sense that his Bellevue barbecue spot stocks a vast collection of the hard stuff, boasting over 170 whiskeys from around the world — 80 of which are bourbons. For the die-hard aficionados, HoneyFire’s also launched a Whiskey Club, where for $50 annually, members can work toward tasting at least 150 of their whiskeys, earning points they can apply towards swag. The club also hosts exclusive meet-ups, distillery tours, and special tastings.
